1. **Electric Affinity**: Mindset: Active, impulsive, or excited.
– Novice: Can generate small electrical discharges, perceive minor changes in an electric field, slightly enhance speed.
– Disciple: Can generate larger discharges, perceive and control electrical currents, notably increase speed.
– Adept: Can generate lightning, create localized electrical fields, move at incredible speeds.
– Prodigy: Can generate massive electrical storms, control the electricity in others’ bodies, achieve lightning-fast speeds.

2. **Fire Affinity**: Mindset: Emotion and passion as fuel.
– Novice: Can create small sparks and control simple flame patterns.
– Disciple: Can produce and control larger fireballs, increase and decrease flame temperatures.
– Adept: Can shape fire into complex forms, use fire for healing by ‘burning away’ injuries.
– Prodigy: Can control massive infernos, create fire from nothing, use high-level conceptual applications to ‘burn’ abstract things away.

3. **Fighting Affinity**: Mindset: Introspective mindset and a degree of self-awareness.
– Novice: Can enhance physical strength, speed, and durability slightly.
– Disciple: Can enhance physical strength, speed, and durability significantly.
– Adept: Can manifest physical power as energy, manipulate the body’s potential.
– Prodigy: Can transform physical power into metaphysical energy, control the body’s limits.

4. **Rock Affinity**: Mindset: Firm will, embracing history.
– Novice: Can shape small stones, create simple magical objects.
– Disciple: Can manipulate larger rocks and create complex magical objects.
– Adept: Can create enduring magical artifacts, crystallize mana into gems.
– Prodigy: Can shape mountains, create sentient golems, and gemstones with stored spells.

5. **Ground Affinity**: Mindset: Sense of responsibility, realism, or duty.
– Novice: Can slightly increase the mass and weight of objects, slightly alter gravity, and manipulate small amounts of earth.
– Disciple: Can notably increase mass and weight, create localized gravitational fields, and control larger amounts of earth.
– Adept: Can drastically increase mass and weight, significantly alter gravity in a larger area, and shape landscapes.
– Prodigy: Can create massive changes in mass, weight, and density, control gravity on a large scale, and control seismic activity.

6. **Steel Affinity**: Mindset: Scientific, technical, or innovative.
– Novice: Can shape small amounts of metal and non-metallic substances, create simple constructs.
– Disciple: Can shape larger amounts of metallic and non-metallic substances, animate constructs.
– Adept: Can create complex constructs from a variety of materials, animate intelligent constructs.
– Prodigy: Can create intricate, intelligent constructs from almost anything, control the properties of substances.

7. **Poison Affinity**: Mindset: Clinical, detached, and charismatic.
– Novice: Can produce minor toxins, perceive subtle changes in an environment.
– Disciple: Can create potent poisons and antidotes, induce small-scale changes in an environment.
– Adept: Can produce deadly toxins and complex antidotes, create larger-scale changes.
– Prodigy: Can control the spread of their poisons and changes, create ‘purifications’ and counter-corruptions.

8. **Dark Affinity**: Mindset: Detached, operates best when people don’t know how the spell works.
– Novice: Can hide small memories, deceive minor senses, and perform minor acts of theft.
– Disciple: Can cause minor confusion and memory loss, create more intricate deceptions, and steal without being noticed.
– Adept: Can manipulate memories, create illusions and deceptions on a large scale, and plant traps in retrospective time.
– Prodigy: Can erase significant portions of memory, manipulate perception to a grand scale, retroactively plant complex traps, steal powers, and make highly unfair magical contracts.

9. **Ghost Affinity**: Mindset: Mental state of detachment, belief that you aren’t part of the world’s rules.
– Novice: Can become slightly invisible, slightly phase through objects, and achieve minor teleportation.
– Disciple: Can become more invisible, notably phase through objects, and teleport over short distances.
– Adept: Can become completely invisible to the naked eye, fully phase through objects, and teleport over significant distances.
– Prodigy: Can become invisible to all forms of detection, phase through any barrier, and teleport instantaneously to any location.
