> This is a method of the [**RelayTransport**](../classes/RelayTransport) class in the [**protocols**](../modules/protocols) module.

Establish the relay and complete the handshake.

Returns the :class:`CapabilityDescriptor` attested by the connector
for the platform it is fronting.

## Signature

async def connect() -> 'CapabilityDescriptor'
```
