This revised detailed diagram illustrates the process of creating templates for data in ADX, including the possibility of manual entries and application-provided values. Each template consists of a template name (context) and a description. The template includes data fields, each linked to a signal type. Each data field includes a signal type and, for each source (which is a machine), a SignalID with the same signal type. ADX is the database that contains all information about SignalID. In addition to SignalID, a data field can also be a ‘manual entry’ where the user can input values manually, or it can receive values from an application that calculates based on ADX data. The template can be used in the Data Management Platform (DMP) to display data directly, depending on the selected source, or PowerBI can access the template and the data to create reports. Additional parameters like aggregation mode, threshold value and its direction and tolerance, update cycle, and max-cache are also defined for each source and data field.
