Wander Product Update

June was a very productive month for the Product Team at Wander. The team launched the Wander Operated owner-landing page to support the new Wander Operated product line, which is purpose-built for property owners interested in having Wander operate their property end-to-end. This page is integrated into Wander’s backend sales pipeline and will be used to generate leads for the Operated onboarding team. The groundwork for an owner dashboard has also been laid, which will allow property owners to view revenue metrics, block off dates for personal use, initiate payouts, and more.

To make it easier for users to book with Wander again in the future and to increase conversion, the team added support for saved payment methods. A user now has the ability to save their payment method within the checkout process or directly through their settings in the Profile screen. The post-trip experience has also been improved with the integration of the ratings and review process directly into the app. This was previously handled by email automation, but now this guest experience data is tied directly into Wander’s system.

The Product Team has also been working on more accurately pricing properties based on historical demand and other data generated from product usage and external sources. They have established new data pipelines that generate base pricing recommendations by analyzing Wander’s data in a custom way. This process will be integrated and automated into Wander’s pricing systems in the future.

Last month, the team was negotiating with various cloud vendors and working on maturing Wander’s infrastructure to be deployable across clouds. This month, they successfully migrated Wander’s production environment between clouds with zero downtime. This has resulted in reduced cloud expenses and improved overall platform performance. With this solidified foundation, many new platform improvements are now possible and actively being implemented.

June was an impactful month with the launch of Wander Operated, improvements to the checkout process and post-trip experience on the app and web, new data pipelines to support better pricing decisions, and a seamless cloud migration along with many additional improvements across the board. The team is excited for the weeks ahead as they’re working on several major product capabilities and looking forward to sharing more in the July update.
